WEEK 1 FOR UED102 CLASS

 Assalamualaikum and hye once again. This is my first time ever using this blogspot. I had been given a task to do a E-portfolio about what I had learned along my UED102 class for this semester. We are given the option to choose whether we want to use wordpress or blog. I'd rather to choose blog because it is easier for me to use. My first class that I attended on 16 October 2020 was lectured by Madam Azlina Baha through online classes. She gave a briefing about the course , assessment and syllabus. 

  First of all, I was explained about the difference between high school and university life.



 Next, I get to know a few tips to become a successful student in order to get success in living life as a student. I know every student have a dream to become an achiever to make ourselves and our parents proud of us.
So here some beneficial tips that I get from the class:

  • Keep studies as your first priority

  • Set S.M.A.R.T goals

  • Good in time management

  • Attend all classes
  • Participate actively in class

  • Pay attention in class
  • Surround yourself with the right people

  • Eat well and sleep well
  • Have a positive mindset

  • Exercise regularly


 Then , we also get a chance to know our learning style. There are three learning styles to enhance our performance. We might be also have multi sensory learning that combines all the three learning styles. Here I attach what is the three learning style. 



 We are provided along with the learning style inventory to identify our learning style. So here is mine. 




 From the result, I know that I am an auditory learner that need to hear information. It is fun to know our learning style. 

  Furthermore, Madam Azlina also explained about goal setting. Goal setting is a process that starts with careful consideration of what you want to achieve, and ends with a lot of hard work to actually do it. 

Goals is things that we want to achieve and things we aim for as we pursue a certain course of action. Goals also divided into two which is: 

  • Long terms goals
  • A long-term goal is something we want to accomplish in the future. Long-terms goals require time and planning. They are not something we can do this week or even this year. Long-term goals are usually at least several years away. 

  • Short terms goals
  • A short-term goal is something you want to do in the near future. The near future can mean today, this week, this month, or even this year. A short-term goal is something you want to accomplish soon. 




 Here my five-step approach to set my goals for this semester. 



Lastly, this is an additional task that I do for week 1

 So that's all that included in week 1. It is interesting to know this subject for the first time in university life.
